As a Technical Product Managerkey responsibilities include driving and managing strategic product development efforts aligned to organizational vision. The Technical Product Manager will collaborate with business stakeholders and development partners to set the roadmap for product requirements and plansprioritize feature development, and deliver high-value business solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment. Actions will influence efforts to educate, motivate, and mobilize people to join a growing community of social entrepreneurs and leaders who are helping millions advance their growth mindset. 


Your Responsibilities Include

  • Lead product management and collaborate with development partners to ensure outcomes are defined and align with target impacts across products to confirm right customer problems are being solved  
  • Leverage market research, industry and competitive analysis to problem solve and evaluate for roadmap 
  • Own the prioritization of the product backlog to meet customer demand and create long-term value 
  • Leverage change management practices to ensure adoption of delivered capabilities and measure success 
  • Identify opportunities to advance Empowered’s vision, positioning the organization to scale and meet new challenges 
  • Define disciplinedmeaningful experiments with well-defined success criteria 
  • Translate product vision into objectives and partner with development team to understand, clarify, and prioritize technical solution 
  • Phase the delivery of features into manageable components, working with development team and communicating plan to stakeholders 
  • Communicate technical product development information to non-technical audience effectively so stakeholders have the information they need to make sound business decisions 
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule with appropriate change management 
  • Manage 3rd party vendors and products, including upgrades and patches 


Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization 

  • 2+ years’ experience leading IT professionals to accomplish organizational goals
  • Experience with platforms/systems such as Azure DevOps, Auth0, WordPressJira, etc.
  • Previous experience managing software development projects in an Agile environment
  • Experience leading efforts supporting planned deliverables and multi-year roadmapsincluding attentiveness to budget/spend and timelines. 
  • Understanding business objectives, system requirements, and documenting/articulating requirements to cross functional stakeholders  
  • Experience working with a cross-functional team that includes technical architecture, design, development, and support 
  • Excellent detailed written and verbal communication skills, to include user interface documentation skills 
  • A continuous learner interested in exploring and optimizing new business challenges 
  • Beyond just delivering new products, obsessive about continuous product improvement and optimizing small and medium releases 
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to build trust through understanding business needs and technologies to support vision
